For some of you it's less than 7 days when your children are home from school for the summer! I've found over the years when I don't have some kind of plan we get very little done. I don't mean hyper-scheduling, but just an over all idea of what I want to accomplish during the summer. It just eats me up when someone asks my kids what they did over the summer and they say "nothing!"

I'm tickled silly to be in Hawaiii with my husband, enjoying the beautiful weather and wonderful scenery. But, no lie, I love making friends with the wonderful Rhea Lana friends here in Honolulu. Rhea Lana's here looks much the same as my sale in Arkansas. The organization, the system, the friendliness are all hallmarks of this sale even 4000 miles home. It's a thrill to meet sweet moms and their precious children here.

With Mother's Day a few days away, I find myself with thoughts of gratitude for my mom, Leah Storey Rogers.

Richard and I have a firm agreement that if there are gifts to be given on Mother's day they cannot be in any way associated with my daily tasks. Therefore for me: no appliances, no kitchen gadgets, and no vacuums. My husband has always been a romantic, so this was agreed on by both of us many years ago.
HOWEVER, a couple of years ago he thought it was so funny when he and the kids presented me with a beautiful gift bag (tissue paper and all) disguising my Mother's Day gift of...an iron.

This is my baby kyrah (k-ear-ah) and this is probably my favorite Rhea Lana find ever! It was $10 at the fall Northwest Arkansas Rhea Lana sale. We always get so many compliments on this outfit
