I am That Book Mama; a mother and a librarian who loves books. I love to talk about them. I want to peruse shelves and look at them. I want to hug them. I want to smell them...yes smell. I'll admit it, I'm a book sniffer. You cut me and I bleed books...books and Taco Bell, but that's a whole other story.

Sunshine and warmer weather isn’t here yet, but it suddenly feels within reach. Thoughts of splashing in the pool, taking trips, and enjoying Vacation Bible Schools are beginning to fill my mind as my family and I anxiously look forward to summer. And with the change of seasons, I can’t help but look forward to a change in wardrobe too – for me, yes, but especially for my girls, ages 5 and 3. After doing a little research, here are the must-have styles I’ve discovered for little fashionistas this summer.

We all have favorite garments that our kids wear, whether it’s the outfit they wore home from the hospital, a special hat or booties made by a friend or a T-shirt with a saying on it that we really liked.
Sure, you can just keep your collection of cherished kid clothes in a box, but there are lots of easy ways to get a little crafty with those things so you can see them or use them all the time.
Here are five ideas to get you started.

It seems like my kids outgrow their clothes and toys as often as the weather changes in Arkansas! With each growth spurt I found myself boxing up the outgrown stuff and stacking it in the storage building. It didn’t take long for our storage building to get full, and then I started thinking about my options for all that stuff.
Garage sale? Too much work.
Sale online? Way too much work.
Donation? I get nothing for it.

Sometime after checking phone notifications, restarting the dryer, and staring at your growing to-do list, you hear a little voice.
The voice asks for milk. Chocolate milk.

Over the years, I have sold and bought clothes for my girls at Rhea Lana of Northwest Arkansas. Let me just say, I'm a huge Rhea Lana fan. I shopped the fall sale last year and found all kinds of darling boutique clothes for amazing prices! I have also bought precious shoes, costumes and toys.

Ever since I was a little girl, I looked forward to the day where I would be a mommy and have my own little girl to dress up and play with. Now that I am in that phase of my life, let me tell you...it is FUN!

Making things – drawing, painting, playing with clay – is important for kids. Arts and crafts develop motor and critical thinking skills, patience, creativity and problem solving. Depending on the project they can also give you a few moments’ peace while making dinner, or be something fun you can work on together to create cherished memories. But it can be difficult to encourage creativity in your kids if you don’t feel very crafty yourself.
The good news is it’s not that hard to get started.

The nice trophy, dinner out, maybe a pedicure. Super-Mom status is hard to come by, but clothing your kids should not be that hard. Clothing your children at Rhea Lana’s will make you Super Mom, believe me! I was introduced to Rhea Lana’s consignment sales when I lived in Little Rock, AR. I had just become a mom to a fun little boy and didn’t know how we were going to be able to afford all the clothes, shoes, accessories, and toys that growing boys need.
