15 Cheap, Simple, and FUN Backyard Activities for Kids
There are few things my family loves more than simply getting outside. Whether we’re hiking a trail, fishing, or hanging out in our backyard, we love spending time in the great outdoors.
With a new baby in the family and the dog days of summer upon us, it’s the perfect time to come up with even more backyard activities the boys can enjoy. There are so many fun things we can do that hardly cost a thing, like building a fort or creating a masterpiece out of the deck and a box of sidewalk chalk.
That was the general idea when I began to research ideas for outdoor activities. I wanted things we could do that were either super cheap or didn’t cost anything at all. Of course, when said activities only require ingredients or supplies from nature, that’s even better.
