Bratz Doll Makeunder for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
In the spirit of Christmas and Thanksgiving, we wanted to share this very sweet story with all of our friends. It is a reminder to us that kids do make a difference!!
Last Spring, our Frisco-McKinney, Texas owner, Stacey Black, shared with us that a consignor of hers, Jen Reiter, was looking for Bratz dolls to help with a project that her third grade daughter, Ashley was working on. Ashley had seen a video on giving Bratz dolls “makeunders” and she set a goal to save money, purchase the dolls, remove their makeup, paint new faces and sew little outfits for them. She wanted to include them in Operation Christmas Child boxes. Our owners rallied around this concept, purchasing these dolls at their events. Several Bratz dolls were mailed to Ashley to go along with ones she and her mom had found at local thrift stores.
Ashley worked hard on the “makeunders” and we were so touched when Jen sent us pictures of the completed Operation Christmas Child boxes. Thank you, Jen and Ashley, for sharing this story with us and for allowing Rhea Lana’s to play a small role in your project.
