At the end of the school day, you can always count on your kids being hungry. As in, “Mom, I’m going to DIE if I don’t get something to eat!” hungry. They’ve expended a lot of energy learning, running, playing, and just being a growing kid. But your day doesn’t end just because the school day is over. Your ‘to do’ list is still full. That’s why it makes sense to plan ahead for your kids after-school snacks.

Our life is so busy these days. Between work and school and life in general, it seems that exercising gets pushed way down on the priority list. By the time we hit the house each night it is so easy to let the kids turn on the TV, or pick up their tablets, and “veg out” for the evening.

Manners matter and a great way to teach your children is by hosting a tea party.
I want my daughter to know how to invite friends over, set a table, make people feel welcome and be able to prepare an afternoon for friends. I want to teach her to love showing hospitality. We typically throw together random tea parties in a matter of minutes at our home. They don't have to be fancy, the main ingredients are tea, friends and an open heart.
