Rhea Lana sales are great places to find used puzzles for good prices, and a great place to sell puzzles your kids aren’t playing with anymore, if you still have all the pieces.

I’m not sure why, but every summer I get the itch to travel with my family. Maybe it’s because of my growing up years when my dad was a truck driver, and we’d sometimes tag along with him across the country. There is something that especially calls to me when we head our car in a westerly direction. It’s as if adventure waits, and I can hardly wait to find it.
Sometimes travel eludes us, though; life takes over, and travel takes a backseat for a while. That’s when a staycation is EVERYTHING.

We treasure the school papers our children bring home. After displaying near-perfect spelling tests on the refrigerator and hanging student self-portraits around the house, we sort through the papers and try to select the ones we want to keep.

Father’s Day… When dads are honored with their own special day of the year. Dads have an integral part in the workings of a family. They’re heroes to their kids. Some dads are stay-at-home dads, some work all day (or all night) outside the home, some dads are away from home much of the time either on deployment or working a faraway job. We love dads, and they deserve to have even more than just this one special day.

We all think of Rhea Lana sales as being the best place to buy kids’ clothing and shoes, and you probably hit up the toy and book sections while you’re there, too.
But did you know you can often find quality, inexpensive craft supplies at your local Rhea Lana's? It’s true!
At a recent sale on half-price day I picked up a whole bag of plastic jewels for $1.50 and a flower loom kit, new in the box, also for $1.50.
Here are some tips for shopping for craft supplies at Rhea Lana, and ideas for what to do with them when you bring them home.

We’re currently at that wonderful time of year when it’s almost summertime, but we’re still caught in the rainy days of spring. Depending where we live, we enjoy a few rainy days scattered amongst warm, sunny days. A rainy day, especially when you’ve enjoyed several nice days in a row, can certainly throw a wrench in things; but it doesn’t have to.
Writing from personal experience, when I make things available to my boys, they’re much less likely to spend a rainy day on the couch and more likely to get up and do something.

This past week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published two recalls that could effect #RheaLanas families; one for the Twin Go Baby Carrier and one for Hobby Lobby Rattles.

Purchasing secondhand clothing is such fun: the ability to find clothes at a lower price is efficient for our finances and our time. Buying clothing for children is especially thrilling since we are lucky if the kids stay the same size for even one school year. The next time you’re ready to shop for more clothes for your growing children, look for these elements to help make the most of their wardrobe, and extend the life of each piece.

Most parents know that the more time we can spend reading to our kids and the more access they have to books the better off they will be academically.
A 2014 study found that having books at home was a strong predictor of children’s academic success across 42 countries studied. The presence of more books was particularly important in lower-income households.
