Going out for the first time with your newborn, especially when you’re on your own that first time ‘round, can be an overwhelming thought. I know… I’ve been there. Part of the reason I wanted to write this was because I wanted to encourage new moms. While that first time may seem overwhelming, trust me when I say that it does get easier. In fact, once you’ve accomplished your first trip out with baby, you’ll likely feel empowered, and rightly so!

There are few things my family loves more than simply getting outside. Whether we’re hiking a trail, fishing, or hanging out in our backyard, we love spending time in the great outdoors.

When it comes to camping and spending time in the great outdoors, my family is all in. My husband and I have been camping since before we had kids, and we’ve continued the tradition with our boys. In fact, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all got the itch to plan another camping trip soon.

On July 6, 2016, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a recall for several products that our Rhea Lana's moms might have in their home. Rhea Lana's is a proud member of We Make It Safer, valuing children's safety across the nation.  Part of our pledge in making it safer is promising all merchandise at Rhea Lana events has been checked for recalls.  Being a resource for moms, we want to share our knowledge with you.

Summer doesn’t just mean warm weather. For kids the world over, summer means time off school, days spent outdoors, hours spent in the pool, and more.

Rhea Lana sales are great places to find used puzzles for good prices, and a great place to sell puzzles your kids aren’t playing with anymore, if you still have all the pieces.

I’m not sure why, but every summer I get the itch to travel with my family. Maybe it’s because of my growing up years when my dad was a truck driver, and we’d sometimes tag along with him across the country. There is something that especially calls to me when we head our car in a westerly direction. It’s as if adventure waits, and I can hardly wait to find it.
Sometimes travel eludes us, though; life takes over, and travel takes a backseat for a while. That’s when a staycation is EVERYTHING.

We treasure the school papers our children bring home. After displaying near-perfect spelling tests on the refrigerator and hanging student self-portraits around the house, we sort through the papers and try to select the ones we want to keep.

Father’s Day… When dads are honored with their own special day of the year. Dads have an integral part in the workings of a family. They’re heroes to their kids. Some dads are stay-at-home dads, some work all day (or all night) outside the home, some dads are away from home much of the time either on deployment or working a faraway job. We love dads, and they deserve to have even more than just this one special day.
