Rhea Lana's Administrative Team
My name is Rhea Lana Riner. I began this sale in 1997 with 11 consignors and 3 racks of clothes in my living room. I wrote all the tags by hand and even rewashed and ironed many of the clothes! After my very first event, my dear husband rescued me. He had incredible vision and suggested that we computerize our event. I told him he was nuts! You see, at that time, most moms did not even know what emailing or surfing the web meant. But we gave it a shot and built a barcoding system and data entry system. We've gradually trained moms over the past 13 years and we've continued to develop and perfect our software systems and our operational systems. Who would have known that we were ahead of our time and we were the FIRST web based computerized children's consignment event in the country?
Over the past 6 years, our company has experienced exponential growth. While our Conway event continued to grow, we decided to add an additional event in Little Rock in 2004. Folks in Northwest Arkansas, home of the Arkansas Razorbacks, were asking for an event, so we added that one in 2006. All three events are extremely popular with almost 1,000 Consignors each and thousands of shoppers, while providing a wonderful service in their communities.

Meanwhile we decided to offer our software services to independent consignment sales across the country and in Canada. Little did we know that we were indeed pioneers in the field of computerized children's consignment events. Our software is the best and we have enjoyed helping other sales get established and grow with the help of our consignment management services. Although, our software is now limited to Rhea Lana’s® Franchises exclusively.
In 2008, we expanded our footprint in the form of Rhea Lana's® Franchises by putting our years of expertise into a total package. By the end of 2008, we had 5 RL Events. Then in 2009, we TRIPLED in size with a total of 19 events in 9 states. We also opened our corporate office in Conway, Arkansas to better serve our RL Franchisees. In 2010, we DOUBLED with a total of 38 events in 15 states. In 2011, we had 47 locations in 16 states and we are very excited about the opportunities 2012 will bring!
Rhea Lana's Children's Consignment, Inc. has received multiple awards over the past several years. President and Founder, Rhea Lana Riner has been featured in numerous publications including The High Profile Section, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and Women's Inc. Magazine. She also recently won a prestigious award from Enterprising Women, a national publication and foundation that honors entrepreneurial women with rapidly growing companies who seek to mentor other women in business. In the 2010 report from Franchise Business Review on Child Service Related Franchises, Rhea Lana's Children's Consignment, Inc. ranked in the Top 10 nationally. Also, Rhea Lana's Children's Consignment, Inc. was ranked number 65 in the Consumer Products and Services Industry section of the 2011 Inc. Magazine's 500/5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies. Since Rhea Lana's began selling franchises in 2008, the company has experienced an impressive 263% growth rate.
